A few pictures from Christmas. See details below...

Christmas 2008

Hello family and friends! Well Christmas has come and gone and yep....this is the first year that I did not do a Christmas card or Holiday card for that matter. So here goes on the blog spot!

What a year we have had. For those of you who have remained close know that it was a roller coaster of a year at that. However we can report that the one constant in it all was our very own Miss P. Payton is such a gem and growing and changing every day. She loves to explore the world she is in and you can watch her trying to figure everything out. She started walking about a month prior to her 1st birthday in September. Of course we had quite the blow out birthday bash for her as any parent would for a 1st birthday. We were so blessed to be surrounded with such love from our family and friends that attended. Thank you again to all who did. At her one year check up her doctor was quite impressed with the little genius we had on our hands. Payton proudly listed off the vocabulary that she had and few two to three word sentences that she could put together. I am truly amazed at what she can do, it is as if she has not limits. I love the age of fearlessness!

Coming into the Holiday's and getting settled in our new surroundings Payton was so excited to do the tree and learned how to "look with her eyes and not with her hands" (she did this by pointing to the tree then pointing to her eye). What a joy is was to see her excitement on Christmas day when she saw what Santa had brought. "raw" "raw" (draw, draw) she said as she pointed to the easel that was sitting there. Yes, you can say the apple does not fall to far from the tree and Payton Maynard does have that artistic jean that runs so strong in her Mother's family.

As for Chris and I we are doing well. Next to Payton being the center of our world our jobs are doing good and we are both focusing on our goals with each. Chris is continuing to build his insurance business and meeting with much success. I am building my success with Starbucks and enjoying working with such great people.

Until next time, God bless and keep you all!

A New Year 2009

Well, I thought I should come into my own and figure out this whole blogging thing. Life gets so crazy sometimes that it is so hard to keep up with everyone. So I thought it would be a good idea to just write a letter to everyone at once so that we can all stay in touch.

For some of you this may be a little redundent but thought it best to update you all from the begening for those fo you just following along.

September 16th, 2007:

We welcomed the birth of our first child Payton Marie Maynard today. She weighed in at 4lbs. 11oz. and was 19in. long. After 10 hours of labor what a joy she was. So aleart and ready for the world.
As any would tell you the first month of life with a new born goes by so fast and you just go from day to day learning to adjust to this new little one. Thank goodness we had the distraction of a beautiful little child as when she was just two weeks old our world as we knew it came crashing down. I received a phone call that my company was closing it's doors. This was not good as we needed my income not to mention the health benefits more then anything. So, with our hearts in our hands and our heads held high, we turned to the Lord as we do in times of stife. For a year we tried to get things back up and running and finally decided to sell the house and move back to the West side of town where mine and Chris' life had begun.
As fate would have it God works in mysterious ways and I was able to be hired on the Management Team for Starbucks Coffee. This has been so great as my hours enable us that we do not have to put Payton in daycare. Chris has an office on the West side of town now and is doing a very good job with his insurance business. He really enjoys the many amazing people that he has been able to meet through the car shows that have now become clients.
So, for 2009 we are looking fine! I am so excited to see what this year has to offer. I am so thankful for my health, my families health, a roof over my head, a stable job, great friends and family, but most of all an awesome husband, daughter, and God who love me very much!
Cheers,
Court
